BRANDING
Espaço Atlântida - Center for the Study of Reading History is EGEAG's newest facility. It is a public library in Lisbon created from Alberto Manguel's personal collection and will function as a multicultural space without linguistic barriers, welcoming readers from around the globe.

For the branding of this project, we drew inspiration, as expected, from books. We developed an inclusive identity with an accessory icon shaped like an open book. The color palette is dynamic and represents the multicultural nature of a space without borders between authors and readers.
WEBSITE
After establishing the brand identity for Espaço Atlântida, LOBA proudly unveils the website for this new EGEAC facility. Espaço Atlântida - Center for the Study of Reading History is home to over 40 000 titles.

Presenting a new identity that reflects the brand's historical DNA was one of the challenges posed by the EGEAC team to LOBA.

Thus, the new website boasts an appealing, well-organized visual design that mirrors the library's offerings and events. Given its role as a hub for knowledge dissemination, the website was built to be fully accessible to all audiences.

African Masks
Wooden masks have origins deeply rooted in Africa, where they were revered for their mystical and spiritual significance, used in rituals for various purposes such as healing and identification within secret societies.
Crafted from green wood by artisans in forest rituals, these masks reflect Africa's cultural diversity. Today, they are globally treasured as decorative pieces, embodying varied styles and cultural narratives.
Similarly, the role of a designer often entails storytelling through their projects, exercising creativity to design solutions that convey meanings and resonate with the target audience, while adapting to the specific needs of each project and client. Just as wooden masks are carved with freedom and creativity, designers must also be versatile and adaptable, using design as a form of expression to create meaningful experiences.
